DITTY BAG Limited Edition
Ditty Bag, known since 1800, is the first bag made by sailors with shreds of canvas sails and equipped with laborious hand-woven handles. Once used for work tools, it now becomes the small chest that holds the essentials for an important evening
Today we wanted to reinterpret this tradition, recovering parts of sails that are over 40 years old, jealously guarded in our archive. Rings and carabiners are oxidized by sea salt and are enriched by hand stitching that is no longer present on modern sails today.
Each Ditty bag is made by highlighting the details that make it unique through careful recovery and assembly work. The handles are handmade according to ancient knotting techniques which require precision and execution time.
